country! We are searching for our next Field Wildlife & Exclusion
Technician (Nationwide Travel) to help us embrace new adventures

effective bird removal and control solutions to our customers in
the commercial retail space. Role: Meridian Wildlife Services is
searching for a dependable, hands-on Field Wildlife & Exclusion
Technician (Nationwide Travel) to support commercial and retail
customers through safe, effective bird removal and exclusion
solutions. This role involves inspecting facilities, capturing and
removing birds—and occasionally bats—installing exclusion systems
(netting, screens, barriers), performing light construction, and
consulting with customers on-site to deliver tailored solutions.
Preferred candidates are based in the Hartford, CT area due to
proximity to major airports and current project needs . This role
requires approximately 70% nationwide travel. Technicians complete
required wildlife and bat certifications, collaborate with
operations and leadership, and help train new team members. This
position is ideal for someone safety-focused, physically capable,
eager to learn, and motivated to grow with a rapidly expanding
organization. Key Responsibilities What You’ll Do Bird Removal &
Exclusion Conduct facility inspections to identify bird activity,
access points, and structural vulnerabilities. Safely remove
interior birds using Meridian’s patented capture system. Install
bird exclusion systems, including netting, screens, vent covers,
and barriers. Perform light construction and repairs to support
exclusion installations. Complete bird removal work to support
operations needs and Fortify assignments. Meet or exceed
performance measurables, including time-on-site expectations and
improve job-site conditions. Technical Development & Training
Obtain necessary licenses and certifications to properly handle
wildlife assignments, including bats. Develop expert knowledge of
exclusion techniques and available technologies. Install exclusion
systems at work sites in accordance with company and safety
standards. Assist in mentoring and training new exclusion
technicians. Collaborate with Operations and VP of Strategy on
Fortify initiatives. Maintain accurate, up-to-date licenses and
certifications, including BRT licensing and Bat certification.
Customer & Field Consulting Travel nationwide approximately 70% of
the time to support customer projects. Collaborate and communicate
with customers on-site to define scope, solutions, and
expectations. Develop cost and labor estimates and assist with
consultative sales tools and templates for leadership. Team
Meridian: Attend and engage in one-on-one sessions with the manager
and participate in departmental and company calls. Core Values:

Expertise What We’re Looking For High School Diploma or GED
required. Experience in construction, carpentry, or wildlife
management preferred (but not required). Valid driver’s license and
clean driving record. Reliable, insured vehicle. Ability to lift 50
lbs, climb ladders, work at heights, and work in confined spaces.
Willingness to travel by car or plane for customer work.
