Job Description:

Rebecca School is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team. This role involves utilizing the DIRFloortime methodology to support and educate children with neurodevelopmental delays in a therapeutic environment. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in special education, a proven ability to build relationships, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive, adaptive educational atmosphere that prioritizes social, emotional, and academic growth. Design and implement individualized educational programs (IEPs) based on each student’s specific needs Employ DIRFloortime strategies to promote student engagement and relationship building Assess student progress and adapt educational plans accordingly Collaborate with parents, therapists, and other educational staff to maximize students' development Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that caters to a diverse range of learning needs and styles Maintain accurate and comprehensive student records and documentation Proficiency with DIRFloortime methodology Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to create and adapt teaching materials and assessments Experience in behavior management and conflict resolution Capacity to work effectively with children with diverse learning needs Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k State Teaching Certification in Special Education DIRFloortime practitioner certification (preferred)
