Job Description:
Staff Engineer, Procurement (Kulicke and Soffa Industries, Inc.,
Fort Washington, PA): Lead and manage digitization opportunities to
improve supply chain efficiency, overseeing the execution of
strategic roadmaps (10%); Supervise, mentor, and guide team members
as the SME in sourcing and procurement of High Temperature, High
Pressure, and mission-critical ceramic supply chain design and
motion systems components (10%); Direct cross-functional teams in
interfacing with customers and the engineering department on new
product sourcing; identify gaps in time to market and total cost of
ownership, and formulate and implement strategies to meet program
requirements through leadership (15%); Manage the design and
implementation of the supply chain for advanced solution machines,
from prototyping to mass production, focusing on scalability and
profitability; ensure efficient operations and optimal resource
allocation (10%); Direct and supervise internal sourcing and
procurement guidelines development for future supplier and
component selection to address key production needs, leading a team
of procurement specialists (10%); Lead the research, investigation,
and qualification of alternate component technologies for
sourcing/manufacturing needs to reduce costs and improve product
quality, overseeing a team conducting these activities (5%);
Oversee and delegate the evaluation of supplier change
notifications to ensure the consistent flow of materials and
components, assigning tasks to team members and monitoring progress
(10%); Represent and lead our entity in the United States during
sourcing, procurement, and production discussions with Singapore
factory staff, managing key matters such as lead time analysis,
critical path identification, and prioritization of demand
requirements (10%); Oversee the component data management system,
including qualification records and documentation related to
materials, components, and sourcing, to inform purchasing and
production decisions while guiding and training team members (5%);
Lead communications between external sourcing stakeholders and
internal development engineers, managing efforts to determine
alternate sources for components (5%); Oversee the review and
negotiation of terms, conditions, exceptions, and pricing for
sourced components to optimize pricing and mitigate risks,
mentoring junior staff in negotiation strategies (5%); Provide
leadership and direction as a key resource for internal and/or
supplier stakeholders on sourcing, procurement, production, and
other key challenges (3%); and Oversee materials/supply chain
matters impacting production or general operations, supervising
cross-functional teams in addressing these matters (2%). In order
to complete the above-mentioned tasks, the following skills and
experience are required: Experience managing procurement quotes,
documents, and cost databases; Experience in developing cutting
edge supply chain solutions to improve effectiveness and
efficiency; Knowledge of geometric tolerances, manufacturing
processes; Experience with planning ERP systems for Supply Chain;
Experience working with overseas suppliers; Experience with Python
for analysis, SAS, minitab, Matlab; Computer aided design CAD
software: Experience using AutoCAD and Siemens NX; Development
environment software: Experience with VBA, Python, Microsoft Macros
for automation; Data base user interface and query software-
Microsoft Access, SQL server; Experience managing procurement
quotes, documents, and detailed cost databases for complete product
line; Experience with data visualization with Tableau, Plotly, and
Power BI; and Experience addressing and managing revisions of
hardware and software. Requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign
equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering or a
related field, and at least three years of experience as a
Procurement Engineer, Supply Chain Analyst or related occupation.
Option to work from home is available. Salary: $83,200 to
