Responsibility Are you ready to take your engineering expertise to
the next level? As a Controls Engineer II at BEUMER Group, you will
play a pivotal role in designing and programming machine controls
for cutting-edge high speed sortation systems that power the
e-commerce industry. This hands-on position requires technical
excellence, organizational skills, and strong communication
abilities to ensure seamless automation and efficiency in
high-speed fulfillment operations. Responsibilities: Translate
customer requirements into programmatic designs for BEUMER sorters.
Design and program operator panels and HMI systems for intuitive
user interaction. Prepare and test PLC hardware for projects,
ensuring reliability and efficiency. Collaborate with electrical
engineering to define I/O networks and addressing. Work with PC
software developers to integrate machine control systems. Conduct
in-house emulation-based testing at BEUMER offices to validate
system performance. Participate in on-site commissioning, ensuring
smooth deployment. Create and maintain documentation to optimize
workflow and improve processes. Provide training materials to
support operational excellence. Engage in continuous improvement
initiatives to enhance system capabilities Compensation range:
$101,000.00 - $111,000.00 Annually The posted salary range reflects
the compensation the company reasonably expects to offer for this
position. Actual compensation will not be less than the posted
minimum and will be based on multiple factors. Qualifications
Requirements & Skills: Bachelor's or Master's degree in EE/CE or
equivalent experience. 3 years of hands-on work experience in
controls engineering. Ability and willingness to travel nationally
and internationally for project execution, up to 40%. Technical
Expertise: Proficiency in advanced machine control concepts and
fundamental mathematical techniques. Demonstrated expertise in
programming Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs at a "Program
Development Level," enabling simple program modifications for a
single processor. Capabilities include hardware selection, I/O
assignment, and logical control sequence identification in a
streamlined and iterative process—all meticulously documented and
adhering to the company's programming standards. Capability to
develop and integrate SCADA systems for industrial automation, with
a focus on Ignition SCADA platforms. Ability to evaluate
engineering challenges and develop innovative solutions Experience
with computer-based tools for project management and programming.
Soft Skills: Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
Attention to detail and ability to learn quickly. Team-oriented
mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Time
management excellence to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Ability
and willingness to travel nationally and internationally for
