Job Description Job Description $95,000–$115,000 Total Compensation | Monday–Friday | Brooklyn Established independent auto repair shop in Brooklyn is seeking an experienced Automotive Shop Foreman / Lead Technician to oversee technical decisions and manage daily dispatch. Automotive technician experience is required. This is a leadership role within an independent automotive repair environment. It is not a construction foreman position and not a full-time flat-rate production role. Key Responsibilities Review and confirm automotive labor times using industry labor guides and internal matrix Approve diagnostic time before repairs begin Dispatch repair orders efficiently and fairly Support technicians with complex electrical and drivability diagnostics Reduce stalled repair orders and improve workflow consistency Maintain quality control and protect customer trust You will serve as the technical authority on the shop floor. You will step in on vehicles when necessary for complex diagnostics, but the primary focus of this role is leadership and production control. Required Qualifications Minimum 7 years hands-on automotive technician experience Strong electrical and drivability diagnostic skills Prior Lead Technician, Shop Foreman, or leadership experience preferred Independent auto repair shop experience preferred Comfortable dispatching and making firm labor decisions Professional, steady leadership style Ethical and detail-oriented Applicants without automotive repair experience will not be considered.
