Associate Director, Cyber Security wanted in New York,
NY.Responsibilities
- Provide proactive cybersecurity consulting to US clients and
lead them through advanced technical investigations uncovering
sources of security incidents and data breaches. Through security
risk assessments, identify and document potential cybersecurity
threats and educate clients on knowledge, skills and tools needed
to safely navigate in the digital world.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments to identify security gaps in
client networks and cloud environments, advising on configuration
changes, network enhancements, and security controls to defend
against threats.
- Identify, preserve and analyze investigative artifacts from a
range of client devices, including mobile phones, laptops,
desktops, servers, and cloud environments.
- Examine logs to uncover any signs of compromise or suspicious
activity.
- Use digital forensics tools like Cellebrite, Magnet Forensics,
FTK, EnCase, X-ways, and Volatility. Participate in host and
network-based forensics investigations to track down malicious
activity.
- Perform log analysis, investigate malware, and identify
Indicators of Compromise (IoCs) to help detect and respond to
threats across both on-premises and cloud infrastructures.
- Perform incident detection and response functions including
identification, containment, and mitigation of security incidents
in both network and cloud environments.
- Advise US clients on immediate steps to address threats and
create long-term remediation plans to prevent future
incidents.
- Oversee and monitor cloud tenant security for clients,
including environments in AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and other cloud
platforms.
- Ensure cloud resources are securely configured, detect
anomalies, and respond to security incidents as they arise within
cloud environments.
- Document investigative findings clearly and accurately.
- Create detailed reports that explain security incidents,
vulnerabilities, and recommended actions for improvement, ensuring
that both technical and non-technical stakeholders understand the
information.
- Develop and implement custom scripts and tools to automate
security tasks, improve efficiency, and strengthen overall security
posture across both on-premises networks and cloud
environments.
- Conduct training sessions for U.S. clients on the latest
cybersecurity threats, emphasizing essential practices such as
cyber hygiene, protecting devices and online accounts, and
safeguarding against email and phishing attacks.
- Educate on how to recognize and defend against evolving cyber
risks, providing practical tips and actionable advice to strengthen
their security posture and protect sensitive data.
- Oversee the enrollment, security, and monitoring of client
devices and applications through endpoint security systems.
- Ensure devices are up to date with the latest patches and
security controls to maintain compliance and safeguard company
data.
- Regularly review client systems, including cloud environments,
for abnormal or suspicious activity.
- Provide continuous threat intelligence to help clients stay
ahead of evolving cyber threats and proactively address emerging
risks.Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science or
Information Technology.
- 2 years of experience in job offered or in similar
