Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Certified Surgical Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Local Contract WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for an ongoing assignment at Prestigious Hospital in Bethpage NY. Job Function: Day Shift and Evening Shift. 11am to 7:00pm / 3:30pm to 11:00pm. Maintain proper sterile field during surgical procedures. Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after operation and document according to policy. Prepare patients for surgery as requested. Provide technical assistance to surgeons, OR nurses, or anesthesiologists as needed. Wash and sterilize equipment using proper sterilization techniques. Job Requirements: 1 year of experience. NBSTA Required. BLS.
