Dental Assistant Location: Edison, NJ Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,239 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 10 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Dental Assistant Profession: Dental Assistant Specialty: - Duration: 10 weeks Shift: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM. Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: 1 years Dental Assistant experience required License: NJ Dental Radiology License Certifications: Completion of dental assistant training program certificate Must-Have: Strong patient-centered communication skills; Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms Description: The dental assistant serves as the chairside assistant to the dentist in all dental cases. The dental assistant is an integral member of the dental clinic, assisting in the daily operations of the dental office. Responsibilities include providing chairside dental assistance to dentists. The dental assistant prepares charts for procedures and documents in the electronic medical record (EMR). Taking radiographs in digital mode is required. Maintaining and processing equipment is essential. Monitoring supplies is also part of the role. The dental assistant assists with front desk duties including answering the phone and making appointments. Meeting and greeting patients is a key responsibility. Cleaning and sanitizing dental exam rooms after each patient is mandatory. Completing standard cleaning and infection control according to protocol is expected. Maintaining positive interpersonal relationships with staff and dental residents is important. Providing reassurance to patients during procedures is required. Additional duties and/or projects may be assigned. Adhering to organizational competencies and standards of behavior is expected.
