Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/16/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ICU Float Pool Job Details: • Float to all ICUs, step-down units, IMCU, and ED for ICU holds/borders • May also float to Women's and Family unit when needed with proper orientation • Handle various patient conditions including preeclampsia, eclampsia, hypertensive mothers, hyperemesis, and postpartum hemorrhage • Patient ratios will not exceed 1:3 when assigned to any unit/hospital • Typically assigned 24 hours in advance but may be pulled mid-shift to float to any unit or hospital • Assess, implement, and evaluate patient care under licensed physician direction • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to individualize patient care • Direct nursing support staff according to standards of nursing practice and departmental policies • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required • Bachelor's degree preferred • 1 year experience in clinical specialty preferred • PA Registered Nurse License required • BLS - Basic Life Support certification required Facility: This academic medical center serves as a major teaching hospital providing comprehensive healthcare services including specialized intensive care units, step-down units, intermediate care, emergency services, and women's and family services.
