Job Description Job Description Position Summary The Nurse
Practitioner (NP) provides comprehensive, patient-centered care in
an ambulatory/outpatient setting. The NP functions as an
independent clinician and/or in collaboration with physicians and
interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver preventive, acute,
and chronic care services. This role emphasizes health promotion,
disease prevention, patient education, and continuity of care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient
assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations,
and diagnostic evaluations Diagnose and manage acute and chronic
medical conditions within scope of practice Order, interpret, and
evaluate diagnostic tests and laboratory results Develop,
implement, and modify evidence-based treatment plans Prescribe
medications, therapies, and medical devices in accordance with
state and federal regulations Provide preventive care services,
including health screenings, immunizations, and wellness visits
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans,
lifestyle modifications, and disease management Coordinate care
with physicians, specialists, nursing staff, and other healthcare
professionals Document all patient encounters accurately and timely
in the electronic health record (EHR) Ensure compliance with
clinical protocols, quality measures, and regulatory standards
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance
improvement activities Respond to patient inquiries and follow-up
care needs in a timely manner Qualifications Master’s or Doctoral
degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the applicable state
National board certification (ANCC, AANP, or specialty-specific
certification as applicable) Current DEA registration and
prescriptive authority (or eligibility to obtain) Active BLS
certification (ACLS preferred, if applicable) Experience Prior
experience in an ambulatory or outpatient clinical setting
preferred Experience in primary care, internal medicine, family
