What You ll Do As a Veterinary Oncology Technician at MVA, you will be at the heart of patient care, supporting both pets and their people often during challenging times. In this role, you will: Prepare and administer chemotherapy , targeted therapies, and supportive medications following strict safety protocols. Monitor patients pre- and post-treatment, carefully tracking vital signs, potential side effects, and overall comfort. Collaborate with oncologists and fellow technicians to develop and update personalized treatment plans, ensuring the highest standard of care. Provide compassionate client communication , including education about treatment options, home care, and ongoing symptom management. Assist with diagnostic procedures such as blood draws, imaging (radiographs, CT, MRI), and sample collection for cytology or histopathology. Support the emotional well-being of clients and team members, recognizing the sensitivity and challenges involved in oncology cases. What We re Looking For We re seeking Veterinary Oncology Technicians who excel in a specialized environment and are driven by a passion for advanced patient care.
