Job Description:
Interstate Waste Services, a leader in non-hazardous waste
management in the Northeast U.S., is seeking a dedicated Class B
Front Load Driver to join our team. As an integral part of our
operations, you will handle the responsibility of operating Class B
vehicles to collect and transport waste, ensuring a seamless,
timely, and compliant waste management service to our customers.
This role is pivotal in helping us sustain our commitment to the
environment by efficiently managing waste recycling and disposal.
Ideal candidates will be safety-conscious, reliable, and committed
to providing excellent service in all weather conditions. Operate
Class B vehicles in compliance with company policies and local,
state, and federal regulations. Perform daily pre-trip and
post-trip inspections to ensure the functionality and safety of the
vehicle. Collect and transport waste and recyclables in a safe and
timely manner. Provide outstanding customer service, maintaining
professionalism during each interaction. Navigate through diverse
routes throughout the local area, adjusting to dynamic weather
conditions and providing timely service. Maintain cleanliness and
operational capability of assigned vehicle, reporting any
operational issues or safety concerns. Document and log work/rest
periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts.
Proficient in operating Class B vehicles and understanding of
operational controls and common practices in waste management.
Strong time management skills to ensure timely pickups and
deliveries. Ability to communicate effectively and follow verbal
and written instructions. Physical endurance to perform demanding
duties in various weather conditions. Valid Class B Commercial
Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record. DOT medical
certificate.
