This service provides a supportive service array of assessments, interventions and linkages to services to address the needs of families impacted by intimate partner violence.ABOUT THE POSITION: Bilingual Family Support NavigatorPosition Highlights

    • Provides support to families and connect them to needed resources in their community (i.e., housing, financial aid, food, shelter, parenting supports).
    • Advocate for the needs of the family to all parties involved.
    • Assess, provide and/or link to transportation.
    • Attend meetings with family members.
    • Participates in trainings and meetings and regularly attends supervision.
    • Identifies culturally appropriate resources for families within their communities.
    • Outreach efforts to facilitate referrals through the system of care, promote family involvement and promote other family initiatives.
    • Provides services to families specifically related to Intimate Partner Violence (i.e., ongoing in-home safety planning, assessments of impact of IPV on children, and working collaboratively with DCF and local agencies to relocate/find housing for family members affected by IPV).
    • Additional duties as required.QUALIFICATIONS:Education: BA in human services required.Experience: At least three (3) years experience working with families and knowledgeable about community resources and services preferred. Experience in advocacy work on behalf of children and families preferred. Experience with Intimate Partner Violence preferred.Licensure/Certification/Registration: Valid current driver's license and must own vehicle to drive regularly to home visits. Demonstrated understanding of the Wraparound process preferred.Training: Participate in agency required training and additional training recommended by supervisor.Additional Qualifications: Bilingual (Spanish Speaking) required.Why Join CHR?
